Ford Focus MK2 CC Rear Window Regulator Bracket – Left or Right – OEM Ref. 1517666 (Left) / 1523463 (Right)

The original bracket breaks at the Bowden cable attachment point. Once it fails, the rear window can no longer be raised or lowered.

This replacement is made by SLS (selective laser sintering) in Nylon 12. The geometry comes from a 3D scan of an original bracket, so it fits the regulator and the window mounting without modification. The cable attachment is the most loaded point of the part; Nylon 12's toughness and slight flexibility make it well suited to this repeated pull load.

Why does the rear window on a Ford Focus CC stop going up or down?

On the Ford Focus MK2 CC (2006–2010) the rear window regulator bracket cracks at the Bowden cable attachment point. Once it breaks, the cable slips and the rear side window stops moving or drops into the door. The motor and cable are usually still fine — only the bracket (OEM 1517666 left / 1523463 right) needs replacing.

Do I need to buy a complete new window regulator, or just this bracket?

Just the bracket. The original regulator is only sold as a complete assembly, but in most cases the motor, rails and cable are undamaged. This replacement bracket mounts to the existing Focus CC regulator and window without modification, so the repair costs a fraction of a full regulator.

Is the 3D printed bracket strong enough for the window mechanism?

Yes. The part is SLS printed in Nylon 12 (PA12), a tough, slightly flexible polyamide suited to the repeated pull load at the cable attachment. The most loaded areas are reinforced compared to the original — several owners note the strengthened ribs after fitting. Covered by a 2-year warranty.

Which side do I need — left or right?

Left = driver's side, right = passenger's side, as seen sitting in the car facing forward. OEM 1517666 is the left bracket, 1523463 the right. Both rear windows on the Focus CC fail the same way, so check the other side while the door is open — many owners replace both.

Does this bracket fit the Focus CC front windows or the Focus MK2 hatchback?

No. This part fits only the rear (quarter) window regulator of the Ford Focus MK2 CC convertible, 2006–2010. The front window regulator and the hatchback/saloon/estate Focus MK2 use different mechanisms.
