Which Porsche models use seat hinge cover 92852114702 / 92852114802?

This seat hinge cover plate fits the classic Porsche seat used across the 911, 964, 993, 924, 944 and 968. Left is OEM 92852114702, right is 92852114802. If your cracked cover carries one of these numbers, this is the replacement.

Why does the Porsche seat hinge trim crack?

Thirty-year-old plastic goes brittle and the mounting clips snap off first. This Nylon 12 replacement is tougher than the original ABS and does not become brittle with age.

Does this cover fit the 986 Boxster or 996 911?

No. The 986 Boxster and 996 use a different seat with a different hinge cover — see our separate Porsche 986 / 996 seat hinge cover listing. This part is for the earlier 924 / 944 / 968 / 911 / 964 / 993 seat only.

Is it sold as a pair?

No, each listing is for one cover — choose left or right. Left = driver's seat outer side, right = passenger's seat outer side, viewed from inside the car. Both covers wear the same way, so many owners order one of each.

How is it fitted?

It clips onto the original mounting points on the seat hinge, the same way as the factory part - no adhesive, or drilling. Remove the remains of the old cover, clean the hinge, press the new cover on. See the exploded view in the product photos.
